Black Drum
Black drum are stout, striped relatives of the redfish that root along docks, bars, and bridges for crabs and shellfish. Smaller 'puppy drum' are excellent eating; the big ones are pure muscle.
They're a reliable cool-weather target and a great bend in the rod for anglers of any age.
