St. Petersburg Fishing Charters
Cross the Skyway and you're in some of the best water on Florida's Gulf Coast — private charters fishing lower Tampa Bay, Egmont Key, and the beaches south of the bridge.
St. Petersburg anglers know the drive over the Sunshine Skyway well — and the water on the south side of that bridge is exactly where our captains live. From our Holmes Beach marina we run the Skyway shadow lines, the shipping channel edges, Egmont Key, and the grass flats of lower Tampa Bay: the same grounds you can see from the bridge on your way down.
A charter with us turns that view into a day on the water. Every trip is private and matched to your crew — calm-water flats fishing for snook and redfish, wreck and channel runs for cobia and grouper, or a spring tarpon hunt along the beaches. Bait, tackle, licenses, and fish cleaning are all included.
Getting to the Boat from St. Petersburg
All trips depart our marina at 6398 Marina Way, Holmes Beach, FL — 45–60 minutes (around 35 miles) from downtown St. Petersburg.
Why St. Petersburg Anglers Fish With Us
Fishing out of the lower bay instead of the St. Pete side puts the best structure minutes from the dock, not an hour's run away. The Skyway pilings, Egmont Key's passes, and the nearshore reefs off Anna Maria all sit within a short hop of our marina, so St. Petersburg guests spend their trip fishing — not commuting across the bay.
Make a day of it: after your charter you're already positioned for lunch on Anna Maria Island's beaches, or an easy Skyway drive home against the view. Plenty of our St. Pete guests tell us the trip down is part of the fun.

St. Petersburg Fishing Charter FAQs
- How far is your marina from St. Petersburg?
- Our marina is at 6398 Marina Way in Holmes Beach — about 45–60 minutes (around 35 miles) from downtown St. Petersburg, straight down I-275 across the Sunshine Skyway. It's an easy, scenic drive against most of the traffic.
- What can I catch on a St. Petersburg area charter?
- Lower Tampa Bay fishes well year-round: snook, redfish, and spotted seatrout on the flats, cobia and gag grouper around the Skyway and channel structure, and tarpon along Egmont Key and the beaches from late spring into summer.
- Why drive down instead of booking a charter in St. Pete?
- The water we fish — the Skyway, Egmont Key, and the lower-bay flats — sits at the mouth of Tampa Bay, minutes from our marina. Launching from Holmes Beach means more of your trip is spent with lines in the water instead of running across the bay to reach the same spots.
