Hogfish
Also called: Hog Snapper
Hogfish are odd, beautiful reef dwellers with a long pig-like snout they use to root crustaceans off the bottom. They're as prized on the plate as any fish in the Gulf.
Because they feed by sight on the bottom, targeting them takes finesse — and the payoff is exceptional.
