Night Fishing charter near Anna Maria Island
Fish the Lights After Dark on Anna Maria Island & Tampa Bay

Night Fishing Charters on Anna Maria Island

Four hours from sunset to midnight, working the dock and bridge lights for snook, redfish, and tarpon.

Choose Your Night Trip

After dark, the water around Anna Maria Island turns into a different fishery. Dock lights, bridge lights, and lit channel edges pull glass minnows and shrimp into tight green pools, and the predators that ignored you all afternoon line up in the shadows to ambush them. Our night charters run four hours from sunset to midnight, fishing those lit edges for snook, redfish, and — in the warmer months — tarpon.

Night trips are quieter and cooler than anything we run in daylight. The boat traffic is gone, the summer heat is off the water, and the fish feed with far less caution. We run these trips on a shallow-draft bay boat so we can slip up on lit docks and mangrove edges without pushing a wake, and we keep the group small — up to four anglers, with two or three the sweet spot for casting room under the lights.

How This Trip Compares

Still weighing your options? Here's how this charter stacks up against our other fishing trips.

Inshore Calm, protected water — the easygoing favorite for families and first-timers. Nearshore The deep-sea thrill without the long haul — big-fish action a few miles off the beach. Deep Sea The full-day, far-out trophy hunt — our most in-demand trip, and it books up fast. Tarpon A bucket-list battle with the “Silver King” — our signature seasonal trip. Fly The purest test of skill — sight-casting the flats with a fly rod. You're viewing Night The after-dark bite — cooler air, empty water, and predators stacked under the lights.
